Serves: 1
Ingredients:
- 1 (8-oz) wild-caught salmon fillet, about 1 inch thick, skin on
- Extra virgin olive oil
- Trader Joe’s Onion Salt
- Smoked paprika (I use Watkins)
- Light sprinkle of finely ground sea salt and ground pepper to taste
Instructions:
- Preheat the air fryer to 400°F.
- Pat the salmon dry.
- Rub the top and sides lightly with extra virgin olive oil.
- Sprinkle generously with Trader Joe’s Onion Salt and smoked paprika.
- Place in Air fryer skin side down and air fry at 400°F for 8–10 minutes, depending on thickness.
- The salmon is done when it flakes easily with a fork and the center is opaque but still juicy. Enjoy!
Recipe Notes:
- Cooking tips: For slightly more well-done salmon, add 1–2 extra minutes, checking early so it doesn’t dry out.
- Easy complete meal: For a quick dinner, I sometimes surround the salmon with store-bought pre-cooked vegetables. I’ll cook the salmon most of the way, then add the veggies during the last 4–5 minutes just to heat through.
This is one of those back-pocket meals I make on repeat. Quick, simple, and delicious!
