Serves: 1

Ingredients:

  • 1 (8-oz) wild-caught salmon fillet, about 1 inch thick, skin on
  • Extra virgin olive oil
  • Trader Joe’s Onion Salt
  • Smoked paprika (I use Watkins)
  • Light sprinkle of finely ground sea salt and ground pepper to taste

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F.
  2. Pat the salmon dry.
  3. Rub the top and sides lightly with extra virgin olive oil.
  4. Sprinkle generously with Trader Joe’s Onion Salt and smoked paprika.
  5. Place in Air fryer skin side down and air fry at 400°F for 8–10 minutes, depending on thickness.
  6. The salmon is done when it flakes easily with a fork and the center is opaque but still juicy. Enjoy!

Recipe Notes:

  • Cooking tips: For slightly more well-done salmon, add 1–2 extra minutes, checking early so it doesn’t dry out.
  • Easy complete meal: For a quick dinner, I sometimes surround the salmon with store-bought pre-cooked vegetables. I’ll cook the salmon most of the way, then add the veggies during the last 4–5 minutes just to heat through.

This is one of those back-pocket meals I make on repeat. Quick, simple, and delicious!
