I’m thrilled to share that I’ve reached the 90lb milestone on my weight loss journey! It’s been an incredible transformation since sharing my 45lb progress back in September. I can hardly believe how far I’ve come, and I’m excited to share what’s made this time truly different and how it’s shaping my next chapter.
Finding Professional Support
As I shared in my previous post “Protein Power: The Game-Changer in My Weight Loss Journey”, my transformation began when I connected with Dr. Howard Goodman, a holistic weight loss doctor on Long Island. His comprehensive approach to weight loss aligned perfectly with my beliefs about nutrition and wellness, focusing on clean eating, gut health, and proper nutritional balance rather than quick fixes or fad diets and weight-loss medication like Ozempic.

The Game-Changers
With Dr. Goodman’s help, I discovered several elements that have enhanced my success:
- Consistent Accountability Dr. Goodman’s continued support has been instrumental in my journey. Even after completing my 18-week program, I still continued with monthly weigh-ins as he encouraged. Dr. G is truly committed to your long-term success in reaching your goal and maintaining your weight loss.
- My “Bake & Shake” Sessions The red light therapy has been such a special treat – something I unfortunately couldn’t do at home because home beds aren’t affordable or effective. However, I was able to find an affordable and effective vibration machine, the LifePro Waver Vibration Plate that I use at home. It’s crazy to think that after just standing on it for 10 minutes, you can burn 175 calories!
- Finding My Nutritional Balance Building on the clean eating and protein-focused approach, I’ve continually refined my nutritional balance. This ongoing process of discovery has helped me maintain steady progress even after completing the initial program.
My Approach: Mastery, Not Restriction
My breakthrough realization: My approach to healthy eating isn’t about restriction—it’s about mastery!
I’ve learned that what works for me may not work for you. We all respond differently to dietary changes. While clean eating, protein optimization, gut health and eliminating inflammatory foods are fundamental principles, the implementation needs to fit YOUR:
- Food preferences
- Relationship with food
- MACROS needs
- Daily schedule
Finding that sustainable 80/20 balance is where long-term success happens—maintaining healthy habits while still enjoying life.
What’s Next
This journey has given me insights I’m passionate about sharing with others. I’m optimistic that I’ve found an approach that can help break the frustrating cycle of weight loss and regain.
I’m now combining everything I’ve learned—both before and during my work with Dr. Goodman—to create personalized diet & nutrition guidance that fits real life so that your weight loss is sustainable.
I believe that each person’s journey is uniquely their own, which is why personalized guidance matters so much.
If my story resonates with you, or if you’ve been on a similar path of trying to find what truly works, I’d love to chat.
